Rolex Files Suit Against Brooklyn Deli

The famed Swiss Made luxury watchmaker, Rolex, is suing a Brooklyn deli and demanding that the New York bodega, Rolex Deli, changes its name. The luxury watchmaker of watches for men and women is suing the Rolex Deli in Fort Greene for trademark infringement.
It says the Fulton Street sandwich shop is diluting the brand by falsely implying it is associated with Rolex watches.
The owner, Shawqu Ali, said no one is getting his pastrami heroes confused with Swiss watches.
“Everybody says it’s stupid,” said Ali. “I’ll be honest with you. Everybody that read the article said it’s stupid. It’s totally different. I don’t sell no watches, we don’t have no logos of Rolex in the store. Everything else is totally different.”
